No. I think that strollers, diaper bags and children in general should NOT be allowed in stores.......................until the retailers learn that they will have many more customers when they widen the aisles to accomadate a stroller that is SMALLER than those carts that they expect you to push around, while you are running into everything with them.

Of course. I however would never go to a small store with a stroller. If I needed to go there, I would leave the kids at home with hubby.

Yes they should be allowed in stores because the last thing you want is a toddler wandering around getting into everything in the store. You wouldn't be able to shop. Personally, the stroller is something I really need - my 15 month old knows how to get out of the belt on shopping carts. In the stroller, she has a much safer belt on. I know that there are some really rude moms out there who think they own the aisles because they have strollers, maybe that is why you may have something against strollers. But there are a lot of people who are just as rude with the shopping carts provided by stores! I am not one of those moms (or one of the crazy shopping cart people), I can't stand them either.

up to you, either i put my kid in a stoller or she's gonna climb all over everything and scream to be put down and i'm going to let her because i'm tired of carring her and shopping. what kind of question is that?

this ones obviously asked by someone who doesn't have kids, so let me build the scenario for you.
youre a mother, we'll keep it simple. one child. plus one enormous diaper bag filled with diapers, wipes, milk bottles, burp rags, change of clothing in case something gross happens, pacifiers, snot suckers, and toys.
you also have a purse, containing your keys, wallet, pain killer and whatever else you carry in your purse. some women like tiny purses with nothing more than money, phone, id and cash/cards, others like enormous bags that include their daily planner, extra stuff that didn't fit in their diaper bag, makeup and a host of other things.
now, put the diaper bag on, sling it over one shoulder, then sling your purse over the other. now carry your child, doing whatever it is that child will do at this moment (be it sitting quietly in your arms, sleeping, crying, or pulling on your hair)
also remember that you have your twenty-fourty pound child sitting on top of either your purse, or your diaper bag, pulling it down, which hurts your shoulder.
I don't even have kids and i know the mechanics of it. that would make for the most miserable experience of the day.

simply put, strollers are a necessity. Now; that being said, certian stores like say, safeway, have a spot to put your child in the cart. thats cool, you dont need a stroller then. but a lot of clothing or department stores do not. and guess what, it's a whole lot easier for you to cut through the "misses daywear" section, then for a mom to move the stroller just so you can walk through.
be considerate; and think. yeah its obnoxious when people clog the isles with strollers. it's even more obnoxious when people clog the isles with shopping carts, because at least you can get by a stroller. do you think shopping carts should be banned too?
think!
